New Arrival: Columbia Fleece

Our New Favorite Sweater

To some of you fleece may seem a little outdated; you might have purchased your last fleece sweater 20 years ago. But in 2026 this material is making a comeback! We’d like to highlight a few reasons why we think you need this new piece.

Our Pro Shop team loves this new sweater so much that we hope to make it a staple piece in the shop so we can have regular stock in all sizes for you!

Why We Love This Fleece

We chose Columbia because they are the "workhorse" of outdoor gear.

  • Wash-and-Wear: Unlike wool that shrinks or cotton that fades, technical fleece has incredible "memory." You can throw it in the wash with your gym clothes, and it comes out looking exactly the same.

  • Hydrophobic: These fibers are engineered to be hydrophobic (water-fearing). They hold less than 1% of their weight in water, so if you get caught in a drizzle or sweat on the back nine, you won't get that heavy, soggy feeling.

2. The "Texture" Factor (Style)

Golfers wear a lot of smooth, shiny polyester. It can get a little boring. Fleece adds texture to your fit. It breaks up the outfit visually, making it look more layered and expensive rather than flat. It’s the perfect bridge between "I’m playing 18" and "I’m grabbing dinner."

3. The "Silent" Swing (Performance)

This is the feature that matters most on the first tee. High-end rain shells and windbreakers work, but they are noisy. They crinkle and "swish" during your backswing. This fleece is totally silent. It gives you the warmth of a heavy coat but the mobility of a light pullover, meaning you don't have to choose between staying warm and turning through the ball.

Here to Stay

Usually, we rotate apparel pretty aggressively, but we plan on keeping this stocked year-round because it's the ultimate utility player. Whether you're layering it under a shell in October or throwing it over a polo for a cool summer evening round, it just works.
