Men's Apparel Guide

Some of our best apparel has arrived at the shop, and I want to share with you why we brought these brands in and what we like about each of them.

FootJoy:

  • FootJoy is our number 1 selling men’s apparel line and it isn’t even close. Their shirts offer a pop of color and detailing that is more tasteful than some of the other brands.

  • FJ uses a wrinkle-free blend of polyester and spandex. When I wash my golf shirts, every single shirt comes out extremely wrinkly except for the FJ shirts and the Peter Millar shirts. They are the easiest pieces to take care of.

  • The lightweight fabric is amazing for hot days, FJ’s polyester-spandex mix is incredibly flexible, lightweight, and wicks away moisture which is perfect for hot days.

  • UV Protection is also an added bonus.

Travis Mathew:

  • The soft fabric feals great, even though it’s a bit heavier and can be a bit warmer on the hot days; and I like that it has a more structure than the lighter shirts.

  • The technical addition to the fabric: Travis Mathew uses a blend of polyester, cotton, and spandex; the addition of cotton makes the shirt a bit heavier, but it reduces odor so much better than a pure polyester fabric.

  • The heavier structure of the shirt makes for a cleaner look that is more fashionable than the lighter weight garments.

Peter Millar:

  • Peter Millar is like a higher quality FJ. If you like FJ shirts you need to try on a few Peter Millar shirts, yes the price point is a bit higher, but you deserve to have one or two ultra premium pieces in your wardrobe. These shirts have more polyester making them the lightest shirts you’ve probably ever tried on.

  • Anti-microbial properties in the fabric ensure that even though this shirt is lightweight, it is still going to protect you from unwanted odors.

  • UPF 50 Sun Protection.

  • Structured Collar for an amazing fit and appearance.

Conclusion:

Embrace a wardrobe upgrade this season, even if it means acknowledging that those old golf shirts are due for retirement. Let's face it – your closet might be bursting with shirts, but how many of them truly make you feel confident and stylish on the golf course? It's time to bid farewell to the outdated, ill-fitting ones that no longer serve you.

Consider paying it forward by donating those shirts to those in need – there are people out there who would appreciate and make better use of them. It's a small act that can make a big difference. Plus you’ll feel great about helping out your community!
