Rangefinder Guide

When it comes to rangefinders, your budget matters just as much as the features. You'll find quality at every price point, but there are key trade-offs between upfront cost and longevity. Whether you're looking to invest long-term or grab a value-for-money deal, I'll walk you through what to look for. Let's get you the right rangefinder!

Bushnell:

At the Inglewood Pro Shop we carry Bushnell and we carry Voice Caddie. Bushnell is our premium quality rangefinder and it has a proven track record of delivering long lasting top quality laser rangefinders. I personally have a Bushnell rangefinder that I bought 16 years ago and It still works as good as the new ones.

Read below, directly from the Bushnell website:

“Bushnell has been the industry leader in high-performance sports optics for more than 65 years. Our guiding principle is to provide the highest quality, most reliable and affordable sports optics products on the market.
Bushnell boasts leading market share in all of the sports optics categories, and our products have consistently won design and performance awards. Our product lines enhance the enjoyment of every outdoor pursuit from golf, spectator sports, nature study, hunting, fishing and birding to stargazing. Indoors, binoculars bring the audience closer to the action in fast-moving sports or the fine arts at theaters and concerts.”

If you’re looking for the top of the line rangefinder and you want to be certain that your investment is worth the money, Bushnell has to be your choice. At the Inglewood Pro Shop we our confident, when we sell our members and guests a Bushnell product, that it will have best-in-class performance for many years to come. I rarely have any issues brought to me with Bushnell’s, I believe I’ve only had one rangefinder get sent back for repairs and it was close to 18 years old. These products are 100% worth the extra money if you plan on playing golf for the foreseeable future.

Voice Caddie:

Voice Caddie is our price-point rangefinder and they offer the highest quality at a price range that wont crush your wallet. When it comes to rangefinders all you really need is trusted accuracy, slope adjustment capabilities, confidence that you’re shooting the pin and not the trees behind, and a quality design that will last for many years. This is exactly what you’re getting with Voice Caddie. Sure other brands might have premium lenses, higher accuracy above 250 yards, and a more high-tech display, but if you’re a price conscious consumer there is nothing wrong with saving a few hundred bucks now and purchasing a Voice Caddie rangefinder. Voice Caddie is still a quality brand, they’re not producing cheaply made products, their goal is to make golf technology accessible to everyone, and there is a good chance that the rangefinders they’re making now could last just as long as any Bushnell model.

Summary:

Bushnell is going to be the highest quality product and you can be sure it will last. For an extra 100-200 bucks the peace of mind is probably worth it, and if this is going to be a gift you definitely should get the highest quality.
If this is going to be your first rangefinder and you’re not into golf quite as much as some of your friends, I highly recommend the Voice Caddie. If I was personally going out to buy myself a new rangefinder, I would be picking up the Voice Caddie.
