Why you Should Get New Grips:

The latest grip shipment at Inglewood Pro Shop isn't just about new gear – it's about improving your game. Worn-out grips are often overlooked, but they have a huge impact on your swing and results. Let's talk about what those old grips are costing you, and how our experts can fix the problem fast.

If your grip is too tight, you're likely to miss shots to the right (for right-handed players. Left for left-handed players) as the tension in your hands and wrists will hold the club-face open through impact. Additionally, an overly tight grip can hinder your body's ability to turn and coil, which will rob you of power and consistency.

Money Saving Tip:

You probably don’t need to replace every single grip in your bag, but I guarantee most of you have at least four clubs in your bag that you use way more than the rest. Let’s at least get a new grip on those ones. I get my driver and wedges re-gripped every year and I only play 15-20 rounds each season. As for the rest of your clubs, if you aren’t ready to put new grips on them, wash the current grips; you’d be surprised at how much better the grip feels after you give it a scrub.

While some golfers may worry that re-gripping only a few clubs will result in varied feel, it's worth considering that, the clubs you use the most, likely already exhibit different levels of tackiness. Opting to re-grip only the heavily used clubs prevents waiting until all grips become unbearably slick. I highly recommend re-gripping your most used clubs every season at the very least.

What Grips Should you Get?

Stop by the shop and talk with one of our professionals to ensure you are getting the right size and material of grip. Different grips will use different materials and combinations of materials, some will be softer some will be firmer, some grips are better in wet conditions than others, some are specially designed for golfers with arthritis. The size of the grip is also very important, although a lot of golfers choose the size based on feel, if you’re unsure, we can take a quick measurement of your hand to ensure you’re grip fits you perfectly.

At the Inglewood Pro Shop we want to make sure you’re making the best choice when it comes to your golf game. Bring your clubs and stop by, we can turn your grips around in 24 hours.

See you soon!
